Coinex 2009

Visited the Coinex 2009 exhibition at Sonal Hall, Karve Road, Pune. Lots of interesting stuff to see, coins and notes from many countries, curious notes, coins with mistakes or mis-punched, and of course - old coins. There were some of Shivaji's coins on display and later in the day some Gupta age coins were going on auction.

A 5 shillings note from Nairobi with the value written in Gujrati

Three of Raja Ravi Verma's paintings

Coins from the Mughal times

I also bought 3 coins! Total - Rs. 120. So, the next time you visit us, make sure you take a look.

One from Akbar's time, a quarter anna of the East India Company - 1835, a One anna of some princely state - 1818
